Cheech and Chong Movies: Release Order
The Cheech & Chong films are standalone comedies featuring the iconic duo of Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, with no continuity between entries. The series began with the stoner comedy Up in Smoke (1978), which became a massive box office success. The early films defined the duo's brand of counterculture humor centered on marijuana and the hippie lifestyle.
The first three films represent the classic era of Cheech & Chong, while later entries saw diminishing returns. The Corsican Brothers (1984) marked an unusual departure as a period comedy parody with no stoner humor. The duo split in 1986 after making the short mockumentary Get Out of My Room (1985), which is not included here due to CineSort's focus on feature films. After nearly three decades apart, they reunited for Cheech & Chong's Animated Movie (2013), which animates many of their classic comedy sketches.
