Dan Brown Movies: Release Order

Dan Brown is one of the most successful thriller writers of the 21st century, with over 250 million books sold worldwide. His Robert Langdon series - featuring a Harvard symbologist who deciphers ancient codes and symbols - has spawned three major film adaptations directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks.

These three films form a connected series following the same protagonist, though they adapt Brown's novels out of their original publication order. While Angels & Demons was Brown's first Langdon novel (2000), it was filmed second, after the massive success of The Da Vinci Code (2003). The films maintain narrative continuity despite this reordering, with each installment taking Langdon to a different European location to unravel conspiracies involving art, religion, and history.
