Ip Man - Watch Order: Main Timeline
This watch order follows the connected narrative of the Donnie Yen series directed by Wilson Yip, plus its direct spin-off focusing on Cheung Tin-chi. The films progress chronologically through Ip Man's life from the Japanese occupation to his final years.
Master Z is positioned between the third and fourth main films, following Cheung Tin-chi's story after his encounter with Ip Man while the final film deals with Ip Man's journey to San Francisco in 1964. Ip Man
A semi-biographical account of Yip Man, the first martial arts master to teach the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun.
