Miss Marple Movies: Release Order
The Miss Marple film series brings Agatha Christie's amateur sleuth to the big screen across two distinct eras. The first four films star Margaret Rutherford as an eccentric, energetic version of Miss Marple, taking considerable liberties with Christie's source material and even inserting the character into stories originally written for Hercule Poirot.
The series concludes with Angela Lansbury's 1980 interpretation, which stands completely separate from the Rutherford films and attempts a more faithful adaptation of Christie's work. This watch order presents all theatrical Miss Marple films in release sequence, showcasing the evolution of the character's cinematic portrayals over nearly two decades.
