The Crow Movies: Release Order
The Crow franchise is primarily an anthology series where each film features a different protagonist murdered alongside their loved one, then resurrected by supernatural forces to exact revenge. Based on James O'Barr's graphic novel, the series began with the 1994 cult classic starring Brandon Lee, who was tragically killed in an on-set accident during filming, adding profound poignancy to the film's themes of love and loss.
The three sequels - City of Angels (1996), Salvation (2000), and Wicked Prayer (2005) - each tell standalone stories with new characters taking on the Crow mantle. The 2024 film starring Bill Skarsgård is a complete reboot that retells Eric Draven's original story rather than continuing the anthology format.
