Grindhouse Movies: Release Order
The Grindhouse project began as a 2007 double feature homage to exploitation cinema, pairing Planet Terror and Death Proof as separate standalone stories. The theatrical experience included fake trailers between films, several of which eventually became full-length features.
This complete watch order includes all the spin-off films that originated from those trailers: the Machete series, Hobo with a Shotgun, and Thanksgiving. While these films share the same grindhouse aesthetic and DNA, they exist in separate universes with no narrative connections to each other or the original double feature. Only the Machete films form an actual sequel relationship.
There are 2 other watch orders available - see the links up above.
