Mortal Kombat Movies: Release Order
The Mortal Kombat film franchise adapts the popular video game series about warriors from different realms competing in deadly tournaments to determine the fate of Earth. The series blends martial arts action with supernatural elements and the iconic characters that made the games famous.
This watch order includes two distinct continuities within the same franchise. The first two films from the 1990s form a complete story arc, following Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, and Sonya Blade through the original tournament and its aftermath. The 2021 film began a separate reboot continuity with new characters, which continues directly into its 2026 sequel, Mortal Kombat II.
There are 2 other watch orders available - see the links up above.
