Star Wars Movies: Machete Order
The Machete Order is a fan-created viewing sequence that transforms the Star Wars saga into Luke Skywalker's story with Anakin's fall serving as an extended flashback. After Vader reveals his identity in The Empire Strikes Back, Episodes II and III provide the backstory before returning to resolve Luke's journey in Return of the Jedi.
This order preserves major plot twists while using the prequel trilogy to enhance Luke's character development and the emotional impact of the original trilogy's conclusion. Episode I is omitted as unnecessary to Luke's journey, and the standalone films are excluded to maintain focus on the core Skywalker saga.
