Ed Wood Movies: Release Order
Edward Davis Wood Jr. is an infamous cult filmmaker, known for his passionate but technically challenged B-movies. Despite working with minimal budgets and often baffling creative choices, Wood's films have achieved legendary status for their earnest ambition and unintentional comedy.
This watch list includes Wood's feature-length directorial work, from his early genre films to his final attempt at mainstream cinema with The Sinister Urge. Note that Revenge of the Dead was the original 1959 title for what's now commonly known as Night of the Ghouls - the film sat unreleased for decades until distributor Wade Williams acquired it in 1984.
Two other posthumously completed films are also included: Crossroads of Laredo, which Wood actually shot in 1948 but was completed decades later, and I Woke Up Early the Day I Died, based on Wood's 1974 screenplay. Wood directed numerous adult films in the 1970s which are not included in this curated list.
There is 1 other watch list available - see the link up above.
