Anaconda Movies: Release Order
The Anaconda franchise began in 1997 as a creature feature thriller about a film crew hunted by a massive snake in the Amazon, becoming a cult classic that blended horror with campy B-movie charm. The 2004 sequel The Hunt for the Blood Orchid shifted to Borneo with a new cast, continuing the giant anaconda premise and introducing the fictional Blood Orchid plant that would anchor several made-for-TV sequels (not included in this list because CineSort doesn't cover TV films).
The watch order contains the two original theatrical releases, plus two more recent additions: Anaconda: Cursed Jungle (2024), a Chinese remake that reimagines the original film, and the 2025 Anaconda metasequel starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd. The 2025 film takes a deliberately comedic, self-aware approach as characters attempt to remake the 1997 original.
