Ghost Rider Movies: Release Order
The Ghost Rider film series consists of two supernatural action films starring Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze, a motorcycle stuntman who makes a deal with the demon Mephistopheles and becomes the Ghost Rider. Based on the Marvel Comics character, these Sony/Columbia Pictures productions are not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The first film introduces Johnny's origin story and his transformation into the flaming-skulled Spirit of Vengeance. The second movie, directed by the team behind the Crank films, takes place eight years later and features a grittier, more chaotic tone. While both films received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics, they've developed a cult following for their campy energy and Cage's committed performance.
