King Kong Movies: De Laurentiis Timeline
Producer Dino De Laurentiis brought King Kong back to American screens with a 1976 remake that relocated the story to the World Trade Center and emphasized the emotional connection between Kong and his human companion. While divisive upon release, the film became a box office success.
A decade later, King Kong Lives continued the ape's storyline with the discovery of a female Kong, leading to romance and lots of chaos. This timeline takes Kong in a more emotional, character-driven direction compared to earlier interpretations.
