The Strangers Movies: Release Order
The Strangers franchise consists of psychological horror films about three masked killers who prey on innocent victims in isolated locations. The series began with Bryan Bertino's 2008 film starring Liv Tyler, which became a cult classic for its minimalist approach to terror and the chilling question: "Is Tamara home?"
This watch order includes all films in their release sequence, spanning both the original timeline and the newer reboot. The 2018 sequel follows a different family but remains connected to the original film's universe. In 2024, director Renny Harlin launched a trilogy that retells the story while expanding the mythology, with all three Chapter films shot back-to-back and designed to form one continuous narrative.
There are 2 other watch orders available - see the links up above.
