Alice in Wonderland Movies: Tim Burton Timeline
Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland has inspired over a century of film adaptations, but in the franchise history only two feature films share a connected narrative: those produced by Tim Burton.
The 2010 film, directed by Burton, reimagines Alice as a 19-year-old returning to Wonderland years after childhood adventures, while the 2016 sequel - directed by James Bobin, with Burton as producer - continues her story with a time-travel quest to save the Mad Hatter's family. These two movies represent a self-contained duology separate from all other adaptations.
