Children of the Corn Movies: Release Order
The Children of the Corn franchise began as Stephen King's chilling tale of a rural town controlled by murderous children, spawning numerous sequels with varying degrees of continuity. The first three films maintain the strongest narrative connections, following the aftermath of the original Gatlin massacre and the cult's expansion beyond Nebraska.
After Part III, the series becomes increasingly standalone, with each entry presenting new scenarios and characters while loosely sharing the core mythology of He Who Walks Behind the Rows. Later films like Genesis and Runaway can be considered soft reboots rather than direct sequels, while the 2020 film is a complete reboot with an updated premise and setting.
