Master of the Flying Guillotine is a sequel to One-Armed Boxer with no narrative connection to the original Shaw Brothers The Flying Guillotine (1975). Wang Yu's film features a deliberately distinct weapon design and became the most culturally influential Flying Guillotine movie - praised by Quentin Tarantino, sampled by the Wu-Tang Clan, and inspiring Street Fighter's Dhalsim character through its extendable-armed Indian fighter.
