Ouija Movies: Release Order
The Ouija series consists of two supernatural horror films produced by Blumhouse Productions and based on the iconic Hasbro board game. The first film follows teenagers who unwittingly awaken dark spirits after using an antique Ouija board, while the prequel explores the origins of the haunting decades earlier.
While the 2014 original was a commercial success, it received poor critical reception. The 2016 prequel Ouija: Origin of Evil marked a significant improvement, with director Mike Flanagan bringing his atmospheric horror style to create what is clearly the superior film. The prequel connects to the original through the backstory of Lin Shaye's character and features a post-credits scene that bridges the two films.
