Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movies: Classic Timeline
The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film trilogy defined the franchise for a generation with its practical effects and Jim Henson's Creature Shop bringing the turtles to life. These films balance the darker tone of the original comics with the lighter elements from the popular animated series.
TMNT (2007) is a pseudo-sequel to the 1990s trilogy, set years later with the brothers having drifted apart after fighting Shredder. While its CGI animation style differs dramatically from the three live-action films, director Kevin Munroe included a number of Easter eggs connecting it to the original trilogy.
