Edgar Wallace Movies: Color Films
This watch list covers the vibrant later era of the Edgar Wallace series, beginning with The Hunchback of Soho in 1966 and continuing through the final Italian co-productions. The period marked a shift toward more flamboyant visuals and increasingly camp sensibilities.
The move to color coincided with the series embracing a more playful, sometimes tongue-in-cheek approach while still delivering thrills. These later films show the evolution toward the giallo style that would influence Italian horror cinema, culminating in the atmospheric final entries.
