The Smurfs Movies: Release Order
The Smurfs film franchise spans five decades, beginning with the charming 1975 animated feature The Smurfs and the Magic Flute. The series was revived in the 2010s with Sony's live-action/CGI hybrid films starring Neil Patrick Harris and Hank Azaria, which transported the Smurfs from their magical village into modern-day New York and Paris.
After the live-action films, Sony rebooted the franchise with the fully animated Smurfs: The Lost Village in 2017, featuring Demi Lovato as Smurfette. Most recently, Paramount Animation launched their own reboot with the 2025 animated musical Smurfs, featuring Rihanna as Smurfette. Each iteration brings a fresh take on Peyo's beloved blue characters, though they exist as separate continuities rather than one connected storyline.
