Pet Sematary Movies: Original Timeline
This watch order follows the original 1989 Pet Sematary adaptation and its 1992 sequel. The first film remains one of the more faithful Stephen King adaptations, featuring the Creed family's tragic encounter with the ancient burial ground. Directed by Mary Lambert and written by King himself, it captures the novel's exploration of grief and the terrible consequences of trying to cheat death.
Pet Sematary II shifts to a new protagonist - a teenage boy and his veterinarian father - and only loosely connects to the original through the cursed cemetery's continued influence in Ludlow. This sequel received poor reviews and King distanced himself from it.
There are 2 other watch orders available - see the links up above.
