Pet Sematary Movies: Release Order
Based on Stephen King's 1983 novel, the Pet Sematary films explore the cursed burial ground in Ludlow, Maine that can bring the dead back to life - but with horrifying consequences. The franchise includes the 1989 original directed by Mary Lambert from King's own screenplay, followed by the loosely connected Pet Sematary II in 1992, which shifts focus to a different family and location.
The series was rebooted in 2019 with a new adaptation that takes creative liberties with the source material, and a prequel titled Bloodlines arrived in 2023, exploring the cemetery's dark history in 1969 Ludlow.
