REC Movies: REC Films
This watch order focuses exclusively on the four Spanish REC films that form the canonical storyline. The series begins with Ángela Vidal's terrifying night in a quarantined Barcelona apartment building, directly continues with the immediate aftermath, explores a parallel outbreak at a wedding, and concludes with the infection's final resolution.
REC 3: Genesis tells a parallel story occurring simultaneously with the original film but in a different location. While it maintains continuity with the broader outbreak, it introduces new characters and breaks from the strict found footage format, making it both connected to and distinct from the core Ángela Vidal storyline.
